Cute Little Critter book about being different. A new critter moves down the street but people do not want to play with him because he is too different. Then he makes one friend and then everyone accepts him just as he is after a little time. You could use this with grades K-1 to discuss how everyone is different and it is okay to be different.

Cute book where the little critter goes to visit the dentist and what it is like at the dentist. You could use this book for grades K-1. You could use this book when talking about personal hygiene and why it is important to take care of your teeth and body.

The Berenstain Bears and the Prize Pumpkin - Stan Berenstain;Jan Berenstain

Awesome Berenstain Bears' book where the bears have forgotten about the true meaning of Thanksgiving and being thankful for what really matters in life. Mama bears helps them all remember all the reasons they have to be thankful for in life. Recommended for grades K-2. You could use this book in the classroom around Thanksgiving time and have everyone tell what they are thankful for in life. Then you can go on to discuss how Thanksgiving came to be celebrated.

Pete the Cat Saves Christmas - Eric Litwin, James Dean

Cute little Pete the Cat book where Santa is sick and cannot deliver the presents on Christmas Eve. Santa calls Pete to ask him to help and Pete agrees to deliver the presents for Santa. If you are at a school that does discuss Christmas you could use this book to teach your students that you should always help others when you are able to and to teach the students that Christmas is about helping others and giving back. I think you could use this book for K-1.

Pete the Cat and the New Guy - James Dean, Kimberly Dean

Awesome Pete the Cat book where Pete gets a new neighbor. Pete is shy at first to talk to the new guy but eventually does. Pete and his new friend go to play with all of Pete's friends one at a time and each friend they visit they try to do something together but Pete's new friend is unable to do each of the things they can do. Pete's new friend gets sad he can't do any thing. Then Pete's hears his new friend playing music and Pete and his friends join the new guy and they are all happy again that they finally found something they can do together. You could use this book in the classroom to teach about diversity or how it can be hard to make new friends. You could use this book for grades K-3.

Pete the Cat: Old MacDonald Had a Farm - James Dean

Awesome little Pete the Cat book where you can sing the Old MacDonald song with all different kinds of animals with pictures of each animal. Great way to introduce different animals in the classroom. I think it would be best for Kindergarten.

Clifford's Manners (Clifford 8x8) - Norman Bridwell

Cute Clifford the Big Red Dog book about manners. The book goes through different manners you should always use and show Clifford using all of his manners. Good way to teach students about using their manners and show them different manners to use. I think it would be best intended for grades K-1.

Clifford's Spring Clean-Up  (Clifford the Big Red Dog) - Norman Bridwell

Cute little Clifford the Big Red Dog book. It is spring time and Clifford and the family decide to clean their house. The book also discusses things people in their neighborhood are doing for Earth Day. At the end of the book there is a page that tells you what day Earth Day is on and things you can do to participate for Earth Day. You could use this in your classroom to read on Earth Day (April 22) and actually do an activity to participate in Earth Day and talk about why this day is important and come up with different way to help keep the planet clean. I think this book would be best to use in K-1.

The Berenstain Bears and Too Much Junk Food - Stan Berenstain, Jan Berenstain

This book is about the Berenstain Bears eating way to much junk food. Mama Bear decided to hide all the junk food and only buy healthy foods for the family. The visit their town doctor and she explains why they should eat healthy food and exercise and not eat junk food. I think you could use this in the classroom to discuss why you should eat healthy, exercise and why junk food is not good for you. You could have student determine what foods are healthy and what foods are bad for you and determine different ways they can be more active. I think this book would be intended for grades K-2.

Great Berenstain Bear story about brother bear and his horrible report card he received and how he and his family worked hard to help him make better grades in school. Great little story you could use around report card time to help students see that they just have to work hard and do their best to reach their goals and do good in school. Recommended grade could be 1st through 3rd grade.

Boundless Grace - Mary Hoffman

Awesome story about a young girl who wants a dad, just like in the stories she loves to read. She finally gets the opportunity to go see her father who lives in Africa and she hasn't seen since she was real small. She doesn't remember him and is worried he will not like her anymore since he has a new family. Its a great book to use to teach diversity and how each family is different. You could use this book for any grade really.

Heather Has Two Mommies - Lesléa Newman, Diana Souza

Cute story about a young girl who has two moms. She goes to school and everyone draws and tells about their family. Sends a positive message about everyone is different and everyone is special. Could be used for any grade to teach about how there are all types of families in the world.

Eat Your Veggies, Goldilocks: A Story About Healthy Eating (Fairytales Gone Wrong) by Steve Smallman (2014-11-11) - Steve Smallman

Cute little story of the 3 bears and Goldilocks. The books starts out with Goldilocks not wanting to eat her veggies and only wanting sugary foods. She then runs away and comes across the 3 bears' home where she makes a mess. The 3 bears find her and teach her eating healthy can be fun and delicious. Great to use for grades K-3 to help teach students about eating healthy.

Another great Pete the Cat book. In this book Pete lets everyone else choose what he wears to school and then realizes he should wear what he wants to wear to school. Could be used to explain to students how important to just be yourself. That you shouldn't let other people tell you who to be. Could be used for any elementary grade depending on how you use it but more intended for Kindergarten thru second grade.

Addition Annie - David Gisler

Short little book about a little girl who loves to add different things. Has simple text talking about what the little girl likes to count. In the pictures it has a simple addition problem of what the little girl is counting. Great little book to use when introducing addition to either Kindergarten or first grade.
